Have a Galaxy S I9000 and was wondering if there is a way to make the game work in Wifi with proxy. Currently only internet browsing works for me. My phone isnt rooted. Googled a lot havent found anything helpful. When I had installed Froyo on my phone through kies the wifi worked for the game(all other apps too) suddenly it stopped hasnt worked since. Have even done factory reset (read somewhere that works) didnt help me though. Anyone know how to do this?thanx

You will have to open the port tcp/4083 (or ask your network admin to do so).
In the worst case, you can setup port forwarding.

PL uses TCP port 4083 to connect with the server.
If you're at work, you most probably only have ports 21 & 80 open.
Which is why you need to have this port open, or setup port forwarding.
Here's an app which will do this (unless you're comfortable with command line level iptables)
http://www.neorouter.com/android/portforward.html
You will thus have to set a 2 stage tunnel.

You can scan your network for open ports. In unix, you can use nmap.

We certainly don’t do anything to block users from connecting to our servers. Generally, it’s either DNS or routing problems that prevent connection.
You’ll need to be able to do the following:
1. Resolve DNS entries for auth.pocketlegends.com
2. Establish outgoing tcp connections on ports 80, 443, and 4050-4100 to the following addresses:

204.236.230.172
204.236.233.29
50.16.241.142
50.16.241.214
50.16.241.220
50.16.241.225
50.16.241.233

Hope this helps.

I tried portforwarding accd to this site : http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/WRT120N/default.htm
Tried 4050-4099 and 4083 both didnt work
Also DNS is blocked or something(Thats what the tech guy said due to some security reasons)

Any workaround ? thnx
