Having something like the gardiens is awsome. Iam a lvl 56 archer and I play a lot the final crown was a good touch but id like 2 have something or have a chance to make myself stand out a bit more. Besides being a bird in pajamas playing the banjo :) pls tell me of contests or a way to get that wow factor like the gardian sheilds.

This is a thread questioning the developers and made on a new account to hide yourself. Maybe the devs should look up your IP and ban you, at least for 3 days.

Whilst I disagree with the OP, I agree a little with Tiliana, in that people are entitled to an opinion, and the only way to refrain from stooping to the same level is to give your honest but polite and well worded opinions also.

I'm not fully aware of the work of all the Guardians, but I trust and fully respect the devs and if they deem them all fit then so do I. The work I've seen from the Guardians is what has made this game such a great experience for me.

i think that they all deserve and even if they just did it for the shield whatever they did, what they did clearly helped everyone who is playing the game or is thinking of playing, imagine if none of them did any of the work they did, how many people would be stuck in what character to make, or what attributes to use, or how to properly farm, i know you might feel that maybe they didnt deserve it but if you think of it, they all clearly did no matter what there reasons they all have been a great help the PL community. :D

in a way you are right. but if your comments have a negative impact on anyone or anything then clearly they are not for the forums and from what i could see he is clearly saying that some deserve the PL shield and the guardian status, but others dont. The entire point of my post was, if you are going to criticize someone, be "man" enough (trying to be gender neutral) to not be a coward about it. Anyway, I didn't get to see the original thread, but from what I read, it was criticizing the Guardians of Alterra. The Devs specifically picked all of the Guardians by studying their actions and how they work with others, so obviously they were picked for a reason. I don't believe JustG puts all of the forum names in a hat, while the other Devs fight over who gets to pick the next Guardians. They are all well deserving of the honor.

What if I decided to become some sort of Gov. job thinger just to win a Nobel Peace Prize. I wouldn't give a [censor] if some guy did that just for a prize. He would have helped millions of peeps during his campaign for a Peace Prize. The two bad thing to come out of this Community Shield Effort is that they are coming out faster than Lone can tap, and that all other people making a guide after it came out will be accused of doing it just for a shield, which shouldn't be to bad in the first place.

My two cents on something to do with barely anything on this thread.

It's not like they get the shield and go on their merry way. By creating this whole Guardians thing, the devs obviously want it to be about more than just getting a shield. Might not always work out as planned, but I would think that's their main goal.

Every Guardian earned their place. they all have no reason to be disrespected. If you think that they have been elected wrongly, PM a dev. they will handle your complaint.

devs, I am requesting a lock on this thread. This could easily to a flame war, and those are very hard to fix. (I have seen them on many forums, and they are almost impossible to dispell if they are powerful enough. all you need are two guys with an arguement, and you get a flame war. they will keep posting thread after thread, post after post, until you ban them. then they change accounts and repeat. ps. IP bans are easily passed nowadays. not saying how, but it is pretty easy. back to my point...)

You need to look past your selfishness, and appreciate what the guardians have done. they have all earned it. ask a few of the members, If you don't believe me. Search their history. They all deserved it, and you are a fool for not being able to see this.

Not refried, and not laquint. A real troll that is proud to be a troll on here would say it was them, no doubt. This is most likely someone who is a forum member (active on here or not) and wants to be a guardian and is jealous of the others, and he doesn't want people to hate him so he made a new forum account so no one would know who it was. A real troll, especially ones ive seen here would at least have posted who they were.

I don't really like the one with text either, (sorry daniel :(), but the sorta distorted one looks nice. I'd rather just have avatars we choose, not preset ones. I'm not one for sigs because they make the page longer, and I don't like scrolling, but avatars are nice.

Just my 2 cents, but I don't think the person who made this thread is banned. I think it would come off much angrier then. And he wouldn't have deleted it after everyone criticized it.
I also think banned players would have more to worry about than whether the Guardians are deserving or not.

So... Sticking to my coward theory.

I think rewarding extremely helpful players with the Guardian status (and nice shield) is a great idea, as it encourages involvement in the community.

Personally, I don't ever expect to earn this title as I don't put enough of my free time into the game. It's probably a good thing... but still. I'm more the kind of person who supports others' ideas and events rather than being recognized for creating any, and I'm fine with my place in the community. I'm not the best at anything, but I try to be a well-rounded forumer and game-player. I don't play Pocket Legends with my real-world friends, and I always look for more people to play with. ;)
