i had two kite icons under my name as well. Mystery Armor of the Ancients gives me one kite icon, and the second was Guardian Hate Shield. Also Cyber Kite Shield of Rift and Cyber Armor will light it up.

Looks like the in-game quest items (Mystery and Cyber) will light it up and maybe anything "Kite" related as my Hate Armor didn't give me an icon. Not sure what effect they have though,.
