I got used to using the join menu on the map just type the name of the host and filter it. Its pretty easy in fact its easier than joining players jumping names.

Yeah but after you get the dingy crown (purple) you get 3 quests to craft it into the crown of persistence and then you chose 1 of 3 (int, str and dex)

The hardest to get is the first part of the quest because it is a random drop from GF, it could take you 1 run or 5 runs. The second one is kill king and queen and the third one is kill 75 bandits. They are very short quests.
