Yeah, its definitely unique. Just had the expectation that when you'd see it, you'd know its the Vyx Hate Helm.

The disappointing part to all of this is... the drop rate is soooo terrible that a Dev had to sell one to keep us interested. How pathetic is that??? Where's the exclusivity of being the first player to drop the first Vyx L50 Helm. I would be so ecstatic to scream "OMMMMMGG, I got the drop!!!" rather than "Yay, I bought it cheap from a game Developer". Congrats to whoever has the helm now!!! Maybe that's why the owner is not flaunting the helm in town.

It'll take A LOT of trust, nut hunzzz said Adrian wouldn't rip him off like that. Max is indeed 9.99M, but if they do it in portions then it'll work, just requires trust.

That doesn't keep prices from getting ridiculous -- it just allows other people to make money off your items that you didn't make.

If you opened a real-life store and started selling top-of-the-line electronics for half price so more people could afford it, what do you think would happen? Other merchants would buy it out and sell it at regular price, or just below regular price.

Yep, hunzzz said in town how he was buying it, I asked to be in on it and he said they had all the gold needed, he then said they were buying it. Later he said "WE GOT IT!!!" and something along the lines of "HE BOUGHT THE VYX HELM OF HATE!!" then said he was selling it.

I don't know who has it. It's the original buyer that still has it I believe, but I'm not sure.

As for the value, it's almost priceless. It's one of a kind, and will remain to be one of a kind for while. Could be anywhere from 8M (since original vyx was sold for 7.5M when it was first looted) to 40M (around what some people have)

I don't think there's really a price tag, as much as who has the most gold/is willing to pay the most gold for it.

It's extremely rare, that's for sure. At the end of Shadow Cave V, after you clear all mobs and the boss, you have the very, very slim chance of getting the "Shadow Vyxnaar" (not confirmed, but that's who cinco referred to him as before the helm was implemented) to spawn. Cinco said his spawn would be very, very, very rare, and the helm would be even rarer. He basically said, this will be the rarest item in game, and is as sweet as a something-"rose:p

I see it as, you'll have better luck getting 4/5 people in your party looting a galzyx at once than looting this bad boy.

Yeah the fun part about hunting the oroginal vyx was that he spawned so often, didn't have to keep remaking the map. Hunting this new one sounds likely to cause more frustration than anything else.

It doesnt really matter how it looks. Personally, I think my black ice crossbow looks pretty ugly, but after knowing all the yeti pelts it took, I think it looks gorgeous.

The rarity of the item makes it priceless. I always figured if I ever got the helm (which I won't), I'd trade it for the top level gear for all my three characters, but I guess I'm undervaluing it :).

Then again, the only market value we KNOW the helm has is 150K or is it 8 million :) .

He bought it with 150k. So really, it could have been anyone who was looking at the CS at the time and has been playing for longer than a week (to have the money for it). Didn't have to be a well-known player or even a high-level player for that matter.
