Thorn root don't work on bosses?

In skill description it says thorn root should stop opponent or bosses for 3s, but it never works for me. I can't thornroot trolls or any of the bosses, it works on smaller opponents like zombies and mercenaries. What gives?

Yeah many bosses don't.

I only farm higher-leveled campigns and I am certain that the Red Dragon and Konzite don't get rooted.

So, thornroot is completely useless against bosses? Is there any point investing skillpoints into it?

Quite a few bosses throughout the game are insusceptible to things like stun, frost, and root. Not all of them are though. From what I've noticed, the size of the boss' model seems to have an impact.

Root/wall can still be useful for other things though, like mobs and bosses that are impacted by it.
