How come I can buy Elixirs in platinum not gold when I have 10k gold?

I heard that you can buy Elixirs with gold or platinum but how come when I checked out from the upgrade store it only sold in platinum not gold? By the way, if I used the elixirs pill to play to current game. Will the elixirs be remain or expire when I log out or go to different game? Thanks

You can get them with gold from the 'Potion Store' button, with platinum from the 'Upgrades' button. They go away when you leave your current game, die, or their timer runs out.

You can buy them with gold with your characters menu at anytime. But don't yet... They aren't good yet only 5 minute duration is blasphemy. So I'd wait to see if we get a patch to make them last longer.

They should last til you leave the lvl, complete a lvl or die. Maybe even complete the map since 10k seems a little steep IMO
