Public Test Server Wrap-up
Thanks again to everyone who logged in and played on the Rage of the Ren'gol test server! We gained so much great feedback, were able to catch some sneaky bugs, and have everything we need to make the upcoming expansion everything it can be!
Thanks you our more than valuable testers we were able to incorporate a ton of your feedback, suggestions and fix even more bugs. Here's a look at some of the changes you'll see in the live server:
Feedback and Suggestions
Town:
+ The spawn point of Garetta will be closer to the town's center, so you don't have to run quite as far to get there.
+ Garetta will get a Stash
Dungeons:
+ The difficulty of normal dungeons will be adjusted for more balance across player levels.
+ The Hulking Brute will get a second pass, making him more difficult and interesting to fight.
+ We'll be taking another look at mob density in dungeons.
+ A special note on Korgar's lack of tell for his reflect ability:
For now I think the lack of tell will remain, as it can be timed out if you pay attention. The damage output of his reflect will likely be reduced however. On a related note, any DoTs on Korgar BEFORE he uses his reflect will be wiped away. You will only suffer damage on DoTs that are applied after his reflect goes up. Spamming DoT spells will be a dangerous move.
Gear:
+ We will be reassessing the stats for all new expansion gear based on your feedback
+ Several jewels’ stats are being updated
Loot:
+ Golden Orc Chests will now have a chance to drop a Crate token.
+ Items obtained by auto-leveling to 41 will now auto-equip.
+ Items from the Level 41 Pack will get a higher armor stat.
+ Ren'gol crate drops now shoot off fireworks
Pets
+ Toor will get a visual effect and a second look at his stats.
Bugs
The following bugs were identified by testers and will be fixed when the expansion goes live.
+Thumper is not using all of his abilities
+ Elondrian weapons are not showing correctly
+ If you level a character before completing the tutorial, the tutorial mobs get too difficult and you can not beat them.
+Gear/vanity icons overlap the "Show Stats" window in the left side of the Auction window.
+ The quest "Orc Onslaught" that requires you to speak to find Stallon the Fearless in Garetta is not completed upon finding/speaking to that NPC.
+ In Achievements, "Orc... SLAYAAAH!" says it needs you to wear the full Mythic 'Orcslayer' set instead of Mythic Glintstone set.
+ Garetta's Blacksmith is targetable and also cannot be interacted with.
+ There is no upgrade slot for belts in the crafting menu.
+ The shadows below Arlor Heralds are off in many spots inside the new Garetta town.
+ The graphic icon on the top left of the map selection tab inside the World Map is the same with the one from Tindirin expansion, should be Orc-mines related.
+There is no slot for belts in the Stash.
+ Chests containing trash items (and some gold) which are found in maps previous to the Ren'gol expansion have their lids floating.
+ After opening/breaking the new mushroom boxes inside the new maps, their shadows don't go away.
+ The bombs that Orc Engineers throw that push and stun are targetable. (The fact that they damage themselves is intended.)
+ The quests in the Quest Helper on the upper right of the screen are always unselected when you exit it, causing the text description to disappear on the right side of it when you re-open it.
+ Both of the "Go to" button options (going to the map & returning it when complete) for the Gem Collector quest that you receive from Elvene take you either to Brackeridge Forest or Shadow Plains (Shuyal) instead of the Cryogem Mines.
+ Scavenger's Tunic doesn't appear in the preview window in Trader Klassi's vendor but shows your character with current gear/vanity and an always hungry pet.
+ The first three items on Trader Klassi's vendor (Stampy egg, 25 Inv slots, 25 Stash slots) have a wrong text description.
+ Padded cap and Legendary Daggers of Tactics do not appear in the preview window in Trader Klassi's vendor.
+ Cryogem Fragment's description says that is it used to craft the Mythic 'Orcslaying' gear instead of Mythic 'Glintstone' gear.
+ In Naxbot's vendor the following items show your character in the preview window while they shouldn't: Arcane Shard, Maridos' Egg, Arcane Fossil.
+ The audio dialogues from new bosses are the same as older ones.
+ Entering the Guild Castle from Garetta Village takes you to Windmoore Guild Hub instead of a Garetta one.
+ Game becomes unresponsive when you enter a map with full inventory.
