Returning Mage

I just got back into the game after a good 7 or 8 month break. I currently have mythic gear, ring, elo gun, and wilds talisman. I'm specced as a pvp curse mage but am thinking I should go back to pve for a bit. Can anyone tell me what I should be doing to get up to speed? I think I remember the best pve spec but if someone wants to tell me that would be great also. Is Sam still a real good pet? I see there are new tombs. Is there something I should farm in there?

Welcome back blue. For pve I currently use 5 attack skills(fire ice lightning wind and clock) but you could substitute shield for gale if you need it. Passives I have full str, dex and int.

Heal, curse and Damage passive are still useless in pve.
