Best PvE Pet for premate Sorcerers (Nekro or Maridos)

Hi guys,
my gf and me play two sorcerers purely PvE and came to a little bit of cash through the update.
We would like to put our gold in two pets, the best pets possible, something that will last.
Since we are fairly new to the game, we find it hard to decide between Singe, Maridos and Nekro. Which pet is the best to safe Ankhs during high elites? Should we both use the same or a variety of two pets for more diversity? We heard Nekro's shield is very strong, but is it the best for PvE? Should we buy two Nekros? We use both Arcane Shield and wonder if two Nekros are enough to keep one kind of shield permanently up. Or will we benefit the most from Maridos' overall bonuses?

Personally, since you're both Mages, if you buy one nekro/one Maridos, you'll almost always have a shield on (Arcane/Nekro), plus you'll have that great Maridos AA buff, which will make you unstunable and give you great stats on top of that! (Just my 2 Cents).

Although I don't have maridos, I will say singe is a top knotch pet however if you want the very best of the best nekro is it period, best pet around the shield is insane and the stat bonuses are incredible. if I had choice I'd go with two nekro a over anything
