sewer queen set

alright as a pure mage, i think it would be nice if there was a sewer queen set. I don't think it should necessarily be better than a mega mage set... but the sewer gear seems unique and too under priced to just be "there". thoughts?

Also I'm kind of making this thread because i have a sewer set (after counteless hours of farming)

Yes if you cannot buy a mm set, sewer queen set is best to go, maybe with the crown of pers. if you get to lvl 56
too bad there isn't a set bonus for sewer queen set

For me the sewer queen items is a wasted opportunity. It is a watered down version of mega mage gear except for some h/s. It's a shame the developers hadn't made these items more in line with the mastermind items - focusing instead on crit and percentage hit. These stats are hugely lacking on mega mage items. I find with the mega mage set that my skills miss fairly frequently - on full a full int build (you can see this for sure if you solo on Plasma pyramid). I've even started to wonder whether to try the mastermind items and give them a try instead as I never really bothered with them before...

If they did, then sewer queen would be better overall than mastermind.

The devs are really in a bind here. It can't be better than mega mage (and what you propose would make it superior to mega mage, particularly in effective damage) - leading to the current compromise. I hate to say it, but sewer queen should probably be left alone.

Yes I agree with you completely but just to add a couple of points from a basic table I constructed – I only compared body armour – all Level 55 except shadow armour of course:
stats (sorry my table wouldn't paste in properly - not great with computers)

From the table you can see that mega mage and sewer queen doesn’t add any hit% or crit and instead mainly focuses on damage and armour and keeping the mana supply topped up! Sewer queen does the same, but to a lesser degree. Mastermind is focused more on getting that hit in and increasing chances of securing a critical hit, however at the expense of armour and damage. The Mastermind armour is more in keeping with the shadow armour with wider spread stats across areas and shares similar armour rating. I probably wouldn’t choose mastermind as a level 55 because of the low armour and survivability in BS can be tough and with GCD, the usefulness of mastermind is debatable as mages are more affected by GCD than the other classes. Mega mage offers enhanced stats in only a select few categories whereas mastermind and shadow spread stats around more consistently. Shadow armour gives a more balanced feel whereas mega mage gives a completely different focus. Interesting no armour enhances dodge. What I’m trying to say is that mega mage and sewer queen are too much alike (I don’t know what difference the h/s has overall) and it would have been nice to see the sewer queen items focus on different categories and provide a different playing experience. Mega mage is clearly the superior armour, but I’m loathed to like it, If any of that makes sense! Lol
