I've seen this sentence several times and I just want conformation "I farmed 15k today". The k is just an abrivation for thousand right?

You are correct. 15k is an abbreviation for 15,000.

A "k" usually means three zeroes. 4k is 4000. 2kk is 2,000,000. 3.7k is 3700.

Ya you will noticed k will be in lots of measurements as well. Like km - kilometer = 1000 meters or like kv - kilovolts = 1000 volts.
