It's like PL. You make An account for the game and then you'll have three free slots and the rest can be purchased. After creating you can alternate between your chars like PL

I thought the storage box was shared between all chars so you could transfer between them. That's not the case? So how do you transfer items/gold between chars?

What was funny that despite the hugeness of the world there, by pure random coincidence Elly and I ended up standing right next to each other in town and were like "Oh hai". Then dueled for the heck of it, and dang if he didn't beat me barely :D

I got the crafting quest in the second town :) You start gathering for materials also there.

For Blacksmithing (Warriors) its mining the ores.

For Tailoring (Mages/Priests) its some loot from mobs.

For Leather (Rangers) not sure, I haven't seen any.

Omg I wish someone had told me that I have to pick items off the fallen enemies to get loot. I was killing goblins for a while, wondering why I wasn't getting any bone necklaces. You'd want to stick to one tree in your talents if you want to reach the last skill, I think :)

The skills/spells are different from talents. Skills and spells are bought from trainers using cash, you just need to meet the level requirement and learn them through your talent tree. The talent tree is like your own personal character skills, you gain one talent per level up.

Yeah I think dueling is the only PvP at the moment, since Order and Chaos seem to be able to mix and see each other.

Tap the lower part of the chat and then tap (speak) there you will get a list that looks like bubbles and you press the global icon and voila. Interface is not as easy as PL and if they are gonna make a game that complicated you might as well play it on a PC -_-

You can stabilize the camera a bit on the options menu. PL is much more faster this is just a copy paste of wow's mechanics. Fun game but I still have my doubts with that company and STS service has been top notch atm.

Mages don't heal in this game -______- if I knew that i would've chosen monk lol. They do BOV and heal ugh

You need to make sure you spell their names wit capitols throughout. For example if you wanted to recruit redryder you have to put "RedRyder" instead of "redryder"

The camera is a bit annoying, but I'm getting used to it. I'm just so amazed at the details that went into this game.

What I love about this game is that it's fun to explore. I really am not looking at my level. I'm just picking up quests and enjoying the landscape. I don't feel pressure to grind (not yet, at least).

And I see horses.. You can pet them lol. Hopefully in an update we'll be able to ride them :)

You learn crafting by doing a start up quest. It's called "The Apprentice". You collect the items needed, and the reward is a scroll to allow you to choose what kind of crafting you want to do. Tailoring (cloth for mages), Leather working (leather for rangers), and Blacksmithing (plate for warriors). Im not sure where Monks fall under since I see them being able to use Polearms, maybe leather?

Monk has Divine and an offensive / combat tree, forgot what its name is though.

Up to almost 12 on Undead Ranger. Has some cool features like CS push notifications, guilds (and we are rocking a PL Arterra one, haha), skill trees. However, not digging the lack of a Join button to meet up with people, chat is goofy in my opinion although it is nice to be able to choose global/local/team/guild, the camera gives me nausea in combat sometimes (fiddling with settings may change it). But I really miss not being able to quickly form a party with friends in the same location...am I missing a function or button somewhere? That is one of the things I dig about PL....quickly and easily forming a group or level with friends or randoms and rolling a level in 5-10 mins of fun....OaC is a serious timewaster/killer. Also, is it just me or can you only have 6 skills on that skill wheel? I have 4, plus my melee and ranged autoattack....wish I could have more than 4 skills. And the "bag" is stupid small.

I am going all ranged...no sneaking 'round assasimicating for me. Although somehow I ended up with lvl 1 sneak. The melee Shadow Strike is nice when you get a baddie in yo face and you stick two daggers in their face :D

In WoW, hunters had 2 trees, a "Marksman" build or a "Pet" build.

In the Marksman build they focus mainly on your own Archer buffs, stronger skills, more crit chance, etc.

In the Pet build it focused mainly on your Pet that hunters get to tame. Stronger pet through more hp, armour, attack, skills. You also get skills to heal your pet, etc.

I found the pet build best for levelling up since it serves as your own personal tank, if it dies, it's not really as bad as having your own character die, and your archer can still do stuff to prevent it (Heal it, personal skills, etc).

I even found the pet build to be viable at PvP at times, using the right pet.

This is all assuming that OC followed exactly the WoW hunter though :p

I'd choose the Archer too, but from how you said it, they would almost always require a tank in front of them. Do they have lots of root skills? Have you tried kiting yet?

I also heard from some players, like Moar, that there isn't really much tanking in the game. I was surprised to see that there was no "Taunt" type of skill for tanks, which made me decide that I'm better off going as a Berserk/Battle build and just spec towards an AoE melee machine :D

Idk about the guides.. I visit their Gameloft OC forum once in awhile, and it's been empty. I wonder if there was another unofficial forum that is as dedicated to it's game as ours?

If I did my math right, don't spread out your skills points, stick to one tree so you can get your "ultimate" at the end. I'm only lvl 7 and using a ranger to solo is pretty hard. You can use that quick shot skills while in melee combat though. It's cool down is super fast too. I have lvl 2 some how, I think i bought it somewhere.

Idk.. I did my quests and all, that's it. You should also keep the crafting materials, the item description usually says "This item can be used for crafting". I sold a couple of 20 stacks for 50 silver each in the auction house last night :)

I haven't tried the stash, but you can always mail it to your other character I think.

Yeah I learnt it from WoW, sort of.

It's usually by an Inn (It has a green hammer icon as a photo in the map when you zoom in).

I died a few times and it said I lost 0 copper. Which makes me think that at some point you do lose money when you die.

As for stat points, I think it all goes into skills.

Btw, I just upgraded to Rapid Shot IV. Will that prevent me from leveling something else up?

For duels you don't actually die so there is no penalty unless you get attacked by a mob.

No less you should upgrade skills every time you can and use the talents tree to suit your play style on every level you gain.

For my ranger I picked up all the crit, improved shadow strike, increased dmg with daggers. Think iam gona start putting a few in the archerr tree to get all the pretty posins. Then ill hop back into *** tree and finish out the dagger skills. After that I havnt decided to go heavy into stealth or go more like comabt rogue. Leaving towards comabt style since stealth isn't as potent as in wow due to rogues not having infinite stealth. Stealth is only like ten sec long or something. Although something they may have got right is vanish! Lol

Above level 10, when you die you lose cash. I think I lost a couple of silver before, but cash isn't that hard to come by, by the time the death cost goes up too.

IMO, just keep the crafting stuff. The ones you don't need sell pretty decent, and the ones you need you can use to craft. The crafted gear is pretty much the best ones I've found in the game lately.

If you look close almost every town has one. Usually by a inn or next to a tower. I make as many trips to the stash as possible and mainly just have crafting mats in there. Most items if my toons can't use I just sell since items that are green or better usually liquidate for decent price.

It might be at the 40-ish stage. That's when I experienced my first dungeons when I was in WoW.

On a different note, I tried the Monk, I wasn't that impressed. It builds exactly like a paladin in WoW, but from what I understood, in WoW paladins could wear plate type armours hence be a semi-tank with heal and buffs, as well as spells to do decent or good damage depending on how you spec it. A monk can only wear cloth, as soft as a mage, and it has a tree to focus on the battle aspect (Physical), which I don't understand. How can you expect a Monk to be physical and upfront when it's only as soft as a mage?

Esh, thanks for the info, I'll just go a warrior route than with my elf. I'm not interested in playing a mage and already have an undead ranger. I've seen a couple giant orc mages, which look pretty funny.

I think so too. I'm not sure if I remember it right, but Paladins could only wear plate armour at level 40? Not sure. But based on the talent skills I read, I didn't see anything regarding allowing of using plate armours, maybe a spell you have to buy from the trainer? Not sure either.

I haven't noticed any Taunt type skills in warrior's talent tree either, and I think I might know how aggro works in the game already. It's either you deal damage or you don't, then the mob attacks whoever is closest to it. I'm not sure if this is the case in the higher levels, but in the lower levels it seems so.

I tested with my bro earlier, Mage, he used a spell to a mob, it aggro'd to him, but I attack it with my fists, it moves to me. I then tried attacking with a low level bow, it aggro'd to me, but my brother went up with a dagger and attacked it, and it aggro'd to him.

Seemed like mobs decide aggro on two things,

Taking damage from this person? Yes, will target you. No, will not target you. Then it decides to attack whoever is the nearest damage dealer. So technically warriors don't need taunt but just attack as close to the target. All speculation though, hopefully it sort of works, but that'd just make the mage/archer so easy if there's a warrior :p

Hi Echelong I'm sure I saw you and Doubletime yesterday - I sent you a message but don't know whether you got it. I made an undead mage, but am thinking of making a monk. Never played wow or any online game (except PL), so it's pretty new to me.

Yeah yesterday was the first official day I played the game with a purpose but I had no clue how to turn off global chat and I missed a lot of chat due to it and most of the people there where just harassing others. Yeah Elly I remember that at 40 paladins wear plate and I checked the talent tree and there is no talent to let you wear plate but there is one talent on the military tree that gives you 1 armor for each point of str or agility. There is also the last talent on that tree that is a divine shield on steroids. It gives 50% more holy damage and you can't die while its active lasts for 15 secs; what where they thinking?

Yes aggro seems kind of weird one hit turns aggro to another player no matter how many you have hit them, its funny that two payers can bounce back and forth mobs and they won't hit either one lol... I just got to level 9 and I haven't really played it much seems kinda fun but their way to implement the chat is awful.

Yeah he was already in a guild, TouchArcade...which is where I heard he had been hanging out on the forums there. I told him there was a new lower-lvl expansion coming to PL, he said cool and that he may be back to check it out :D

You can enable your ping indicator (in options), which is the orange bar on the right side of that circle in the top left hand corner where you can find your hp and mana bars.

I've hit some lag -- usually I'm attacking and nothing's happening. But it doesn't happen often.
I really hope they get it working with 3G at some point, if for nothing else than when my wifi decides to act up. And bc I'm already having withdrawals not being able to play away from home. None of my other games seem worth playing now!

I haven't either. I initially did to try and understand what the quest is trying to ask for, but tracing them does more than enough in telling you what to do and where to find it. The requirement pretty much tells you too.

Coming from she who debated by the game haha. I'm having withdrawals too :( it sucks I'm in school half the time due to too many credits, an the game doesn't seemto work on my campus' wifi :( I can only really play at home.

Lol part of my indecision was because I didn't want to get addicted to a game, especially in the nice weather! But I just couldn't resist. I'm gonna try not to let it become an obsession (even if you guys all hit the lvl cap while I'm still lvl 10). Gonna TRY and keep it to small bits of play. I'm sure it'll be easier to do that later.
