Ok, forgive this questions if it has already been asked... but are mobs more susceptible to "types of damage"...

example, is an ailen caster more susceptible to damage from a gun, vs. a talon, or a bow, or a crossbow?

I wonder about this becuase most guns I see do not have that high of DPS when compared to a bow. This makes me wonder if certain mobs are more susceptiable to damage from one weapon vs. the other, i.e. from a specific type of weapon?

I guess another way of asking would be, do certain mobs armor protect them better from certain kinds of weapon damage (bow, talon, gun)??

I hope this makes sense... :D

The question makes sense.

In short, the answer is no, mobs are not more or less susceptible to different types of damage. Damage, regardless of source (gun, bow, talon, crossbow), is all handled the same.

Now, there are other differences when it comes to those weapons that matter such as range (guns and xbows have longer ranges) and min-max damage ranges (which can alter effective dps when you factor in enemy armour) but those discussions are a bit tangental to your original question.

elements in weapons do not give out more or less damage depending on what foes you fight, but there is a small exception: you cannot freeze any of the yetis, or slime people. (used to ice, and water based? idk)
mind you you still do damage, just no frozen in place effect
