Make a sawmill gravy out of a pound of sausage (brown sausage, add flour slurry and milk, reduce),
get a box of bisquik and make the waffle recipe with the addition of teaspoon of garlic powder, a teaspoon of salt, and a tablespoon of your favorite seasoning mix. I did mine with Montreal steak seasoning.
Apply gravy to waffle and savor each luscious little doughy square that fills with porky creamy goodness.
Savory waffles. The future is now.
