First time buying a plat package

Today was my first time trying to buy a platinum package in game. I was trying to buy the courage package after a month of doing surveys and hitting exactly $2.99, but when i hit buy it said insufficient funds even though I've matched the exact price. Can someone who knows how this works give me more insight on this? Do i need $2.99+ tax money in order to be able to buy the package?

Do you mean you were doing plat offers? You can't buy the Courage package with plat. Only with money.

Yes, the price does not include tax, which is additional.

It is 2.99 usd. So it depends on which country you are from that varies the real value you need to pay.
