I checke the leaderboard today and saw that cusigma has 6.7 million pve kills.. How did he/she get that? I know wt4 is a good spot but no way they got 6.7m kills from there.. And they have only had the top kills for about 3 seasons-ravagerx had top with 4m.. How is this possible? Where did cusigma farm for their kills? I'm curious.

He probably destroys Goblins and Bandits in Ydra Forest and Brackenridge repeatedly...

I have suspicions and theories, but won't elaborate to prevent drama

I forgot to mention, this player is 41-46 because I had seen him previously in a farming map for locks in brackenridge before they removed it. So he couldn't have done that, wouldn't get any kills from that.

He's implying that they have a program to run for them even when they aren't actually there themselves, dummy farming or botting.

I posted an old PVE kills guide in the past. It was removed by either LB players who wanted to maintain their spots or because it had too many possible exploits. Regardless, many of the ways have been patched.

- Vines from bosses in Shuyal zones would respawn infinitely and grant kills. You can just kill them forever for pve kills. (fixed)
- Spiders in arena would respawn infinitely and grant kills. (fixed)
- Camp Boulder wolves would respawn infintely and grant kills (fixed). This was the most popular method as you could just sit with samael on autofeed and not even move your character
- The other zone that is similar to camp boulder but with spiders. Can't remember the name. (fixed)

Methods to gain high kills currently:
- Tombs
- Helena vines (current event). Similar to Camp Boulder but vines hit much harder. Fantasma or Samael works.

I heard lots of veteran players revealing the camp boulder trick once it was fixed. Not saying the lb person has done it but people often used Bots in camp boulders and Rest other points are already been said by RAVAGER

No need for bots, all you needed was samael and you could just afk while sam killed wolves and healed you. A big chunk of pve lb players did it.

I lol that Rav answered this thread as everyone can see he has one of the highest pve kill counts. Before I knew him I figured people were botting for such high pve kill counts. As you can see by his answer it was done in a legitimate manner. The problem is you can no longer do any of the methods that were used by these veteran players. Although if you could they would still be miles ahead so I suppose it doesn't really matter. Anyhow, people should understand that these players didn't cheat to get their kill counts.

Thanks to everyone who answered! Especially ravager.. I did know about the spiders in arena and I do remember hearing about cusigma doing that, so I wouldn't doubt that's how he got it, mightysorc back in season 5/6 did camp boulder.. But I do know people who earned their way in the lb by hard work and effort.. I knew this Mage Rasi(currently doesn't play anymore) that spent days farming pve kills over in wt4 from 600k-900k for lb just weeks before the season was over to catch up, so there are people who actually deserve it.. Now for the people who exploited, you can definitely tell cusigma exploited(just by looking at his kills lol) why would sts allow that? I mean, in a lot of games once you exploit, they put you back to where you started, why is this different? Also.. Anyone know of any strategies to earn pve kills? Like certain ways of running certain maps? Thanks again to everyone who answered!

Currently kt4 is used by most of the pve lb players in my guild. Check out the guide for pulls.

Its a kt4 running thread made by serancha that can be found in the, player guide, section of the forums. Includes maps and pull locations for optimized run times.

In the "guides" section. http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?144452-Guide-The-Definitive-Guide-to-Speed-Leveling-and-Kraag-Tomb-4. You won't get 6.7 mill that way though. I doubt anyone will again unless the game runs 10 years.

LOL... It's possible... here is how...

1. Hardcore farming... Some people who have played some of the older RPG's (on snes, for instance) are used to going around fighting LOTS of battles to level up and gain skills... You have to REALLY hardcore farm in this game, he may just be the MOST hardcore AL farmer

2. Time... Some of us have very occupied 2nd lives (i.e. school, work, ETC.) and some of us are fortunate enough to not have to have those 2nd lives, which gives them an unlimited amount of time to play this game around the clock...

3. Numerous people playing 1 character in shifts... Yes, there are people out there (maybe in this game, too) who take shifts playing 1 character so that the character is always on and playing without interfering with 2nd life schedules/sleep...

it's not impossible....

Have a lb friend who spent all day in camp boulder. He just left his toon in right spot where mobs spawned, used pet that heals and ta da. Kills kept going and he was afk. Pet did all job.
But thats fixed now.

A lot of people play a lot and still have lives also. Just because someone is on a leaderboard (this comes up constantly during events and is totally irritating) does not mean they have "no life". I know a lot of people who play at work, for example.

If someone's work involves a lot of phone time, they can be on the phone and playing at the same time. There are lots of ways that don't include having "no life".

Y'know neither is me getting married to the next top model, then making a new minimalistic game that rivals flappy bird in popularity and I retire before I even leave my teen years...

Honestly this is wrong. The pve kills lb is mostly botters. The only exception I know currently is Leo who truly does run wt4. She deserves a banner of all banners for her efforts on the pve kills lb.

People run scripts that allow them to leave their pc running and farm kills and they aren't even on the game.

It's a battle that sts has turned the other cheek on so eh. If someone wants a banner that bad then so be it. I just stopped looking and caring about the lb a couple seasons ago.

Cool... Just to clarify... I never said that a person who gets that many kills or a person who just plays a lot in general has "NO LIFE".... Some people love gaming, what's wrong with that? I was just simply saying that some people are TOO busy to get anything near that many kills or even fully participate in farming and events as much as they would like to, otherwise a person like me would be high up on the leaderboard... Sometimes the time is JUST not there...

Also, I never said that the methods that I listed were INDEED one of the methods that the player used to get that many kills, I was just throwing out there SCENARIOS that would make it POSSIBLE to achieve that feat, or methods that I WOULD rely on to get something near that level of achievement....

Shout outs to frequencies who is also a legit rogue who runs wt4 constantly and nearly at 1mil kills

Would it make a difference if the kills only counted if you are in a 'level appropriate' map, ie one you would get experience in if you weren't a capped player?

I run through low level areas to level up pets, but kind of silly to have those actually count as 'kills' in a competition.
Wonder if having to do harder areas would introduce enough randomness to defeat scripts (can't one hit kill monsters, actually have to do some interactive fighting).

And Tetter and Ilvias who farm KT4 daily while helping manage the guild as they are running. It's not all bots on the LB, but there are undoubtedly some, as well as many players who got their kills using exploits that are now fixed. Now other players can't realistically catch up so many of those names are not even in the game anymore, yet retain their titles.

That is why seasonal leaderboards should have been implemented long ago.

This is already the case. You can't get pve kills in maps other than tombs (including kraken mines) or the more recent expansion maps, if you are end game.

Yes ty for adding the names. I don't want in any way to accuse every lb person of botting.

Even when numbeddebmun (or whatever the spelling is) was accused of botting, she didn't get that many kills. Most of those outrageously high pve kills are from camp boulder.

Leoakre: 100000% percent legit (when i first saw her on friend list i saw her in WT4 most of the time.)
Ilvias: Constantly seen teleporting between KT4 - kraag entrance (0% botting, he even MSG'd me - he passed the test-wether-bot-or-not)
Ravagerx: Legit nub fatty.
Cusigma: Last spotted online in Deviant Misfits, previous guild was <Nerf Zeus> (seen once in paradise, expedition)
