Post your Kill/Death Ratio

As some of you may know, I am an aspiring statistician and it's been a while since I've had a good project. First it was predicting baseball seasons, then it was bowling scores, now it's you guys. I know it won't be accurate because a lot of folks aren't on forums, and the ratio is changing all the time, but it could be interesting. I'll probably look around in game at some people's characters to get more.

So if you post your kill count, death count, character class, and level, I will do the rest. This way you can see if you're ahead of the pack, in the middle of the pack, or lagging a little bit.

I will stop at midnight on Thursday, 6/3, so post before then, and hopefully this thread survives that long. I will try to get the results up that weekend some time, depending on my work schedule.

Please specify if you are one of those 'special' types...I don't want to count a normal warrior and a bowbear as the same.

I might require that you be lvl35, but post anyway and I will see what I can do.

Edit: and of course, if your character's name is different than your forum name, put that too. Or if you have multiple characters.

If you are an aspiring statistician, then surely you must realize the player who go tens of thousands of free kills off low level mobs, before the nerf, will surely polute your data. Not to mention players who have 2-6 different characters with their kills spread over all of them.

Just saying the stats won't say much. Sorry if it's a jerk thing to say...

Clearly. I didn't say it would be accurate or sound. I'm just curious, and I'm sure other people are as well. I promise I won't try to get it published in any journals or anything. Of course, the kills spread over all their characters would surely mean the deaths would also be spread over all their characters, correct?

This is for the ratio, I don't really care about overall kill count. For example, Esus is far, far behind the leader right now...if you were wondering

I go as Furrawn into the swamps alone. I've done whole swamp lvls alone which ruins my stats... And most of the deaths were reviving friends in the middle of battle and dying for it. But I don't mind:)

Now that I've changed her to a warrior mage, I can finally revive in the heat of battle & do a heal for them & not die.

Maybe I can get an award for WORST kills/deaths ratio? Lol

Partly because he never gets the kill shot as a warrior and partly because I have a lot of deaths. The game play in this game is so watered-down that I find myself grabbing coffee or surfing the forums while tanking, something that can cause a death or two... haha

Yeah but for me to get an average or median for it I can't just have the best ones. Everyone who posts here does so voluntarily, so most of you probably take pride in your kill counts/ratios/etc. and therefore have good ratios and high kill counts. So I'm going around in-game as well getting some. I won't share anyone's personal stats if I get it from in-game. (Unless they're wicked good)

Seems like these stats are less meaningful than ever now that elixers are available. You can now buy your way to hardly ever fighting enemies that are higher level than you. Add that to the already existing problem that they changed how easy it was to get kills, and even separated by class these numbers don't say alot, except in the few extreme cases.

While it did change the game some... Your kd spread can still let everyone know f you are a retard or not. No elixir is going to change that.

Well I Have to say I completely disagree. With elixers, you can buy constant double armor if you want. If I had the cash and time, I have no doubt I could start a character and get thousands and thousands of kills with no deaths. So essentially, I can't think of any reasoning to support kill/death as a particularly meaningful stat.

Heh. We were playing together when I think I may have piqued your interest with the comment that your K/D ratio was awesome. I think Enchantresses will have by far the worst K/D ratios (they're just not as strong) but I've played with Gwendaline and noticed her K/D ratio was huge.

Azrael is correct, of course, that some will have inflated their K/D ratios on lower levels. I can honestly say I've been tempted. I had a decent K/D ratio early on apx. 18 or maybe even 20. That's not great by any stretch but when you're a noob, it's easy to get killed and just not care all that much since all you are interested in is leveling up. Eventually, as things got tougher, I fell to 15-1 then 13-q and now at lvl 34, I'm down to 12.5-1 and not terribly concerned with K/D anymore.

On the other hand, my fledgling Archer has not died yet and I'm hoping to keep it that way with a LOT of careful planning. Score another point for the game's ability to provide variety.

Mysterione (Archer in training - lvl 4 - Kills 19/Deaths 0 - K/D Ratio infinite =p)

I went through forest today to try the new elixers. Pretty much didn't even have to stop, just ran through and everyone died...that's how it was in the beginning, farming the low levels and getting kill credits for it.

At one point I stopped and just let them hit me to see if I was even taking damage since the health bar was always 100% lol

Edit: it was fun though, way different than swamp play =)

Yes, I think you might have gotten me started on this quest. But I already knew mine was far from the best. I knew Loso's was a lot better than mine...and then I met Lastsummer...wow...now if anyone says I have a good ratio, I can scoff and tell them I've looked into the face of god...;)

To give everyone an idea of where I'm at:

I have 109 characters so far (still no rannos). Everyone I've found on my own has been about lvl 35, so I am thinking I will do one 'analysis' with everyone, and one with only lvl 35s. The overall average ratio is 32.9, the median is 19.37. In this case, look at the median because the higher ratios are REALLY screwing up the average.

Archer Count: 37
Mean: 42.1
Median: 30.67

Dex Warrior Count: 10 (need more)
Mean: 77.8
Median: 35.95

Enchantress Count: 32
Mean: 12.61
Median: 8.82

Warrior Count: 30
Mean: 28.27
Median: 25.83

When I'm done, it will probably be more than this...

On a side note, thinking about how elixirs will make people wayyy better if they can afford them. This is so true. I know some people buy gold with real money, and most of us obviously can't do that. So it clearly gives them an advantage, just because they have more money to put into the game. Bottom line: I don't think you should be able to buy gold. If this topic doesn't already have it's own thread, one should be started. I'd rather this not be the place for that discussion (but I can't control the board hoardes).

lol. Too late, but you're about average for a mage, based on what I found. It's possible it's off, but hopefully it's close.
