I am going to root my droid this weekend dose anyone know if o&c on ipod will work over the wifi hotspot?

Yeah most games should.... If the hotspot is from a phone then it might not work

Yea that's what iam curious about since o&c is wifi only I can't play on my ipod at work, was hopeing the wifi from my phone might work....... guess ill have to wait and find out....

Droid1. Barnacle says ipod/ipads can connect to internet with it with a rooted phone but idk if it will read as 3g wich means no o&c at work or if it will act like wifi....

If I had an iPod Touch or iPad, I'd test it since I have a rooted Droid 1.

Sorry to be the one to give the bad news but the app market isn't allowing rooted tethering apps anymore. You can google it but my free tether app does not work now because off this.

If you root your Android to Froyo (2.2) or Gingerbread (2.3) you can use the built-in function to turn your phone into a wifi-hotspot. I just tested the connection on my iPad and it works.
Do you have unlimited data plan though?
O&c works great with my rooted evo. The iPad will see it as wifi, since it is wifi for it.
Sorry to be the one to give the bad news but the app market isn't allowing rooted tethering apps anymore. You can google it but my free tether app does not work now because off this.
If one is rooted, I don't see how they can stop it.

Haha this is great just rooted today and went from android 2.2.2 to android 2.3.3? Lol running cyano7.0.3 I believe? Yea wireless tether on appplanet works amazingly! I can see productivity at work going into the crapper! Lol hello order and chaos on the go!
Anyone considering to root there droid I highly recommend!!!!!

Mine works fine.
Its comes up as open wifi.

There are other mods out there but Cyan mod is the best one!
