This has been suggestioned many times. One word, no. Devs said they won't do it.
The revenue devs get is from people purchasing platinum. If they made platinum purchasable via gold, the whole game would be free. Devs wouldn't get enough money coming in, they couldn't pay rent, udate software. Etc. Self explanitory from there. They made the whole main spine free, so I see even less of a reason for this than before. I don't mean to sound rude, but in my head I just keep remember how they made all the main content free. They need in come somehow.
If they were to do this (even though they said they wouldn't) it'd have to be such a rip off that little or no peole would use it. Like how plat for gold is. Very pricry, but if it weren't, it'd wreck the market and allow rich kids/people to get much much more out of a FREE game.

its never gonna happen the devs need to be paid too.
what we need is plat from phone carrier/credit
everyone can get plat and the devs get paid everyone wins
