Equipment changes any ideas?

Is it just me or should common and rare equipment should be discontinued? I feel they are just useless. I think epic items are ok since you can socket a jewel or gem in them but common and rare should go imho.
These days it seems like epic is common, legendary is rare, mythic is legendary and mythic is arcane. How about a new type like some kind of exotic equipment?
