Rengol crates

So what's the difference between locked crate, large and massive. I see locked crates have a chance at giving an arcane, legendary, mythic... However large takes 3 locked to craft and have have a chance at only 2... can someone pls explain this

Normal = 1 drop
large = 2 drops
massive = 3 drops
