I would go pure until you reach a decent level (50-56) Then i would go hybrid. Just my opinion.

There are multiple classes (i.e. dexmage, paladin, pure int, hybrid, dual, etc)

All buffs and Debuffs is always a good start... Whatever the class is :)

Depends if u wan to pvp or jus pve.. Pvp stats buildin is totally different from pve.. So u gonna tell me which area u wan to play ur mage( if u talking abt mage here) then i can help u

If you are level 53 you are almost done. You should have max lightning, heal, firestorm, weakness, nightmare and both blessings. Put 1 point into resurrection, ice storm, mana shield, frostbite and drain life. From there, decide whether you want to max frostbite (which I prefer) or drain life. Max one, and put 4 points in the other. 55 points total at level 56.
