Best gear for level 50?

Can someone please tell me a practical set for my level 50 cute bear? I wanna level her to 55. Ty. I can use dex/str build or pure str.

Same, especially price.

I would even just recommend going 51/53 in whatever gear you have now, then try to get used to Balefort Sewers gear, so by 55/56 you'd have a good understanding.

I'd say rather Rift because Hate is crazy expensive right now. But my unpopular opinion: Don't buy anything, farm some level 51 drops and wear them when you leveled up, save your money for some good level 55 gear... I'm leveling my birdie (52 now, yay!!!) and I was wearing Void for just one some hours, because at level 51 my drop combinations were the better sets.


I can use dex/str build or pure str.
Don't go all str, please check the "How to spec..." guides in my sig. You will have much more fun with a hybrid.

I am using Rift in STR (Gurgox Hammer is the best even at 55!), the full set with bonus is better than 51/53 yellow/green and not too expensive. As DEX I am using Sunblessed Void and I found it really fun but health pot consuming (armor level too low).

I would agree with everyone saying save your money and keep the gear you have until you get to 51 BUT only if you have a lot of level 50+ friends that will let you run maps with them. My bear is level 50 right now and is in full rift and I still get booted from A LOT of public games. I can only imagine that it would be worse for a bear wearing level 45 gear. BTW, I get booted at the beginning of the maps before everyone can see me play so it's not like I'm stomping enemies all over the place and then getting the boot. Haha.

EDIT: This only applies to sewers of course. I'm sure you'll be more than welcome in any group in AO3 while you level to 51!

I'd go rift, but follow Wally's suggestions. As a non dual spec, Rift is too hard to beat. And once you go dual spec, you'll never go back!

Rift set is killer for tanking which a STR bear should be doing. I had 0 problems tanking in sewers with it. People are always selling whole set for 250k, so you can find a little better if you're patient, or that price. I wouldn't pay more personally.

Also in regard to saving your money, consider this, there will always be a demand for rift set, so it's not like you lose money buying it. It's an investment, and in my opinion a very good investment.

The only other thing is that if you are primarily a STR bear, sewer gear will NOT be better for you, because sewer STR gear suffers big in hit % which a good bear needs to tank well. My rift brought me over 100% which is why I used it for so long. Now once you dual spec, that's different.
