Dex Mage Help Plz!!!

I am lvl 55 I have 99 int and the rest is dex at lvl 56 ill have 104 int. Is this the best way to do stats? I went by the guide posted. I just don't feel like I am getting the most bang for my buck. Any help will be appreciated

Well, I am not a dex mage but I doubt 99 int is the best way to spec one. That means your dex is 171 right? I thought the purpose of dex mage was to have just enough dex to wear bird eq and get a higher hit/crit %. You can wear bird eq with a minimum of 125 dex (145 int), but that requires a whole bunch of booster eq (like two or three sets). You can get there with 139 dex as well with less booster eq. You probably just have too much for what you want to accomplish.

Actually, my initial math was wrong. If you set your dex to 125 you should have 154 int.

In any event, your goal at 125dex/154 int is to boost your dex to 173 to wear bird eq. If I were you I'd get 4 pieces of lvl 45 horus eq. That will get you to 157 dex (125+32). Then you will need 4 pieces of lvl 50 bird eq (the +11 kind, like void), which will bring you to 169. THEN you will need 4 pieces of lvl 51 or 53 henchman eq, which will bring you to 173. THEN equip your lvl 55 bird gear. Voila.

Now can you see why people usually start with higher dex?

You can choose between pure dex mage, hybrid dex mage, and dual-spec (booster sets needed).

If you choose the dual spec, you will need level 45 pinks that give you the most dex (for your dex set), and a separate set of level 45 pinks for int (for your int set). Read Ellyidol's dual spec guide for more information.

At the moment, you are a hybrid dex and do not need booster sets.

Heyo :) my main is actually a dual spec enchantress, so you're in luck! Lol. I actually have a base of 140 dex and 139 int. To put your dex stuff on, you've got to start small with lower level stuff. My transition is a bit sloppy, but it works. I've got some shivering stuff, then I put on some level 50 pinks, add a void helm (cheap!), then put on my main stuff. I currently wear a custom set/sewer king set when I'm dex. I can always boost my int to put on my Mega Mage :)

Before boost... Then you don't need to dual spec :D (I got some more special builds but saving to use for myself...)

EDIT: Forgot to say that dual spec give higher skill damage.. But Hybrid gives higher dps, crit and hit.. It's all about choose and sacrifice ;-)

As of now I'm trying 139 dex 140 int doing prettybgood just got to get use to it doing pretty darn good in pvp if I do say so myself so use to old diablo 2 patch 1.0 lol pl is so diff
