Because:
It prioritizes even a +1 armor or DPS increase over raw stats (eg. it prompts a player to "upgrade" from L41 mythic planar pendant to some L14 amulet of defense because of the 16 ish added armor).
It does not calculate gems and jewels in the equation. They're pretty integral in item comparison at this point of the game.
Its removal would go towards reducing the app size, keeping only the more useful/not flawed Alerts.
It is a redundant game element that has lost most if not all of its usefulness as the game got older and players got more experienced so fixing it would be a waste of time.
