I have many people trying to start forum accounts and reportin an error that says "Admins have disabled this feature".
Can someone please look into this???

As explained below, this is intentional.
We noticed a trend that the pesky spammers were coming after hours to wreak havoc on the forums. To minimize this we disable registration during that time. If your friends are noticing the 'registration has been disabled' message, please have them comeback during normal business hours (weekend is ok as well). If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM!

Correct.
It's a step towards limiting the spam bots registering and spamming the forums with ads and such. I think registering is only open monday-friday from ~8am-4pm US Central Time (opening hours of STS)
