Not only bird can solo Overlord now

It seems that the glitch is fixed in some period. it works now again. But that is not the point.

The point is:
I used my lv 49 mage (no sets) solo about more than 1/3 of the Overlord. It took me 10min and cost only 15 mana pots. No elixirs. Then other guys came.

Use barrel to break shields and use corner to hide. You can kill it with flawless operation.

I leveled to 50. Use cosmos set is much faster. Totally cost 45 mana pots and 4 health pots. Pics:

Only mana pots. It means shield, entering, blast barrel, shot,shot,shot, exit, shied cooldown, wait for barrel respans, shield... 240 dmg per minute, 4 DPS.

Of course. That is the only way for non-bird to break boss shield. If boss shield is on, and no barrels around, there is no meaning to still stay inside and get hit.

Mages have been able to solo him for awhile. I used to do that until they fixed the glitch thing with corners which ended up stopping ranged enemies from keeping their distance from you. You used to be able to push OL next to a barrel just by walking towards him.

A mage in BS gear, before they nerfed the distance thing, could solo him in about 3 min without elixirs. I couldn't imagine attempting it at 49 with low damage and armor. That would take ages assuming you didn't get a lag spike and die.

In BS gear it takes like 2-3 hits. Likely more with a shield. I didn't think a mage could last long pre-50 since the 45 gear is terrible. One think i do is stagger BOV and shield so that one or the other is always up.

dont have shield, not necessary since i usually only hunt in groups - more buffs, debuffs and damagespells - great 4 monstermasses in group pve bad for ... pretty much everything else :p

and i usuallly take 3-5 hits from an enemy my lvl, but i hardly get attacked ;)

Your not the only one, I've soloed OL on my bear and mage numerous times,no corner tricks, just go in there and duke it out :D

in my case, the first times were just to see if I could, after that it was about proving it (example: in a victory lap run, someone will say " no bird in group, can't do OL". I'll say "yes we can, I can solo him", which is usually met with " yeah, right" or " sure" or something along those lines.)
