My Contest Entries Feedback Thread

the competition ends tomorrow, and we all know how serious this is. Especially with me and my ongoing friendly competition with Tullen666 :p. If i do lose to him, ill be happy for him as i was when his kopesh of anubis won, but im back with a vengeance >=) i need ALL the feedback i can get. All day ill be re-working my entries and posting them here for feedback.

one comment that i saw in the thread for the discussion (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/forumdisplay.php?5-Announcements) on the contest was that most of the entrants missed the fire theme of the contest. so i decided to redo my pieces to include more fire. ill also rework them and have a character of mine model my weapons.

this is the first one i reworked. i changed the handle as well:

Fantastic work! The only suggestion I have is that instead of the more opaquish looking fire, maybe more of a softer glow just along the blades of the weapon. Either way, it looks great!

i tried that, but i wanted to do PL's style of doing a sort of flame effect (like they did with the kopesh's, i know its not fire for them, but something of that effect.)

this is what i did with the staff

It's awesome too!
For the staff, maybe add a red glow on the niches of the bone, so it would look like there was fire inside and at the bottom add a little flame

But check out my drawing of my hammer wand and talon my hammer could have a chance of winning I hope. I just really want some free plat cuz I never buy plat and have to get free plat and it's really hard to when you did all of the offers so...

Plus, it's the overall design of the weapon that the Devs are looking at. Not so much how it looks.

It is a DESIGN competition. Doesn't mean you have to be a professional, but obviously those with some skills will have an advantage. If it were a dance competition, the dancers would have an advantage :p

Can't complain because someone has skills.

i did draw it lol, i didnt free hand it on the computer. drawn on paper, took a pic of it, opened it on adobe illustrator to edit it.
as for the platinum, i could care less for it. i just want an item that i designed in an actual game that i enjoyed playing.
how freaking badass would that be on a resume or mention on a portfolio? those are my motives, not platinum.
