I've seen a similar sword before, i believe Jecht had a very similar blade in Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Was that a source of inspiration for you?

OMG, am I the only one who wants to open up photoshop and make an overlay to show how perfectly these two swords match up? This is a bit why I didn't want to join the contest, after all the RPGs I played over the years it's impossible to say that I wouldn't take a concept from another game and just regurgitate it onto paper. I didn't read the ToS (since I never entered), but I imagine something in there states ideas should be original. I mean, why did we even have to have pics, I was contemplating just doing stick figures and such since many of the pics were so elaborate that the PL engine could never recreate it in game. Finally, why choose a concept from WoW, you had to know that there would be some overlap in clientele!
