Not worth putting my opinions here.

It sure didn't take them long here to decide to screw people. They make a boatload of money but they decided it wasn't enough. I stopped Facebook games for this exact reason. Do u really think that kids have access to credit cards?! I was willing to pay when it was MY choice, but I will refuse to play when they are forcing us to. There is no reason for the ridiculous amounts they want to change your face, add inventory slots, and the one that really ticks me off; having to pay for health or mana potions!! What, not making enough money that you are going to try to bleed players every chance you get? I am going to back away from this game & taking all my family with, as I don't want the children to fall into this money pit. You could have left certain things free to play for those who couldn't afford paying, this feels like a rope a dope scheme; make it free at first but when you rope people in, you start charging really ridiculous amounts.

Potions are purchasable with gold.

Hello Gyancher,

You can still purchase potions for gold. You need to travel to Forest Haven, head west to Ellie the Enchantress and you can buy potions from her for gold.

We felt that the convenience of purchasing potions from the store would be a service that users would value and be willing to pay for.

We realize that we could use to make the potion vendor more obvious and there was already talk today of changing them to be more obvious.

Best regards,
Samhayne

Please keep criticism constructive.. You can buy health and mana potions in Forest Haven from Ellie the Enchantress. The developers don't force you to purchase optional additions and benefits. They have to make a living somehow for THEIR families. Buying things with plat is optional for a reason. They are not holding you at gunpoint to buy an experience potion. I do not see your logic, honestly.

App = free
Entire campaign from available levels 1-56 = completely free (minus elite levels)

Personality issue! :) good luck to your decision!

I don't see how they're forcing us.

Faces are vanities. You can play without them.

More inventory slot is a conenience. You can play without it.

Elixirs are not necessary. You still level without it.

And pots are being sold by ellie the enchantress in forest haven. It used to be 1.5k for 100 pots. Much better than the store's 700gold for 25 pots.

No one has to pay to download PL, there isn't a monthly charge (like most MMO's out there), you only pay for the "EXTRA" content (most of which is once), nobody forces you to purchase anything. How else is STS staff suppose to feed their families and support a growing PL community with new content released weekly? If STS isn't doing their job, then I can't think of any company that ever has. Don't you think your asking for too much? I mean honestly... Thousands of players play this game alone, could it really be all that bad? Hey folks run away quickly or STS is gonna steal your wallets... *Crickets* yeah no one is listening.

You don't have to spend any money on this game!!!! Any money that you spend is for more luxury and definitely not necessary. I'm not sure what you think is so greedy about that they're providing us with luxuries that we can CHOOSE whether or not to buy. Look at it this way:
There's a random refrigerator company out there. They just released a new model called IceCold. A couple months later, they come out with an add on for this fridge that gives you more room to store stuff. Do you NEED this add-on for the fridge to work? No. Will some people buy it? Yes. Do you find it greedy that a company made an add-on for the luxury of theur customers that is in by no means necessary? I'll leave you to answer that.

Everything has to cost something, time, money, energy, etc etc. If it was so costly or such a huge problem, why are so many people playing the game? Say I see a pair of Berluti shoes that I want, that's certainly in my opinion, overpriced, and way out of my means, you know what I do? I head downtown to the nearest Walmart, I pickup some Nike's that were priced much less (and probably more comfortable) vs. the 1k Berluti shoe's and I'm happy with that. If I don't like the price of something, guess what? I don't buy it. I hate paying $4 a gallon for gasoline, but I have few choices, I can carpool, ride a bike, run to post, or I can suck it up, and throw down $30 or so. No matter what I do, in the end it's still my choice and ah wasn't there a "Earn Free Plat" link/button somewhere in the plat store? It may take you longer to earn the plat you need but you could earn that plat, like everyone else, i'm just sayin'.

All I can say is the complaints are nit picky and I am shocked how people think they are being forced to pay to play. They did not take anything away you did not have already. I did not buy pots from the store or rarely use elixers. Other than that I don't see what the problem is.

All these posts about greed really annoy me. Just because someone tries to earn a living by producing & selling something that people want does not make them greedy.

Greed = "excessive or rapacious desire, especially for wealth or possessions."

I'll try to break that definition down.
Excessive? I for one do not think the pay structure of PL is excessive. Free to 56=not excessive.
Rapacious desire, I don't think a single one of has has been forced to lay out any plat.

It is a game, created by someone else, not just for our entertainment but also to (hopefully) create & sustain financial benefits for the creators/developers.

They change about once a week or so, from what I remember. You could try entering a contest or something to that affect (which again I don't see too many other MMO's doing) earning large sums of plat. 50 plat to reserve a name.. yeah I can see that getting a price reduction for the simple fact that, there's not too many things that cost that much, specially without any benefit to the character.

So I guess we should apply this argument to gas prices also. We all know things cost but at a certain point people start to feel gouged, especially when events and situations are manipulated into getting you to pay more.

Find another means of acheiving the same goal, like this fellow vet who converted his "2005 VW Jetta wagon into a grease car that runs on used French fry oil" ---> http://www.handymanclub.com/projects/articletype/articleview/articleid/4995/how-to-make-your-car-run-on-used-french-fry-oil

ZOMG! 1337! You know what? You are exactly right! It is not enough that the game is free to download! It is not enough that there are hundreds of hours of free play and thousands of monsters to kill, or 56 levels of complete freedom! It is not enough that there are multiple free campaigns spanning almost every conceivable geographical area type known to man! Including a forest world! Or a castle zone! Or a mountain peak! Or an alien zone!

It is not enough that that there are hundreds or thousands of free weapons, armor and trinkets, or that the most powerful weapons are free, or that the most powerful armor and trinkets are free! It is not enough that we are free to trade with other players, speak with other players or group with whomever we please! It is not enough that we have free inventory spaces, free storage spaces and a free auction space! It is not enough!

Over a hundred free quests is not enough! Nor is it enough that those quests now give you free experience! It is not enough that now they have made special power-up elixirs that are totally unnecessary to play the game, free. It is not enough that I can purchase potions that heal me, or restore my mana, free! And it is not enough that there is a crafting system including receipes, materials and craft items to purchase in the store, free! Or that the game keeps track of every kill we make, every death we suffer, free, so we can boast to our closest friends, free! The worst thing is that Spacetime Studios maintains a website, for free, that I can log into, for free, and gripe about things not being free, for free! It is not enough!

Face it, this game is a scam! It needs to be completely free. When I download this game, a developer should appear in front of me when I log in, free. That game developer, who must be the president of Spacetime Studios, must escort me through Forest Haven, free. He must give me all the best gear to use, free, and buff me so I won't ever die, for free. He then needs to create a paint program so I can design my own character in his game, free, and he needs to kill all the monsters for me, free. Then he should ask for my home address, and when he gets home to his wife and kids that night, but before he goes to bed, he should send me a check for $5 and a vanity item in my stash, free. That is the only fair thing to do for me, for free!

I drive 300 miles a week, my car gets 15 miles per gallon and we pay more than double what you pay for fuel! :-(
