Burke won't give you the recipe (the only you receive from him is the first quest you get from him), its kind of confusing since the quest seems to teach you that he just hands out recipes as rewards. You actually have to find the recipe, they are dropped by bosses in Forest Haven (Meathead, Brom, and Skeller have all been confirmed). Unfortunately you cannot proceed before you get one.

yep you have to loot a recipe from a boss. You can only get free recipes for things on the VERY first page of crafts from burke. From the others i think you can get em from like the first 2 or 3 pages im not sure

So just to make sure I got this right. If I wanted to craft the assassins hat. I need to find the recipe that drops off a boss?

By over a YEAR old, do you really mean exactly a MONTH old?
