1h weapon+skill damage???

I thought swords gave most skill damage. I have a lvl 19 pink sword , got a lvl 19 board and nail, it had more base damage and skill damage didn't change, got an lvl 19 pink axe with lower base damage and skill damage still didn't change?? What's going on are all 1h weapons the same for skill damage? 20k for whoever can give a GOOD answe

They vary on different levels and different weapons within those levels.

I don't think anyone has documented which gives the most skill damage for every level that an array of weapons are available, but for end-game the 1H Swords definitely give the most.

It makes it hard to buy weapons though because I have no idea what's going to be better for skill damage

Yeah, really trial and error. It's gonna pay off though, especially if you've pretty much have all the best gear and know your character very well.

Do you think it has to do with weapon speed also? The faster the weapon the lower the base damage but higher the skill damage?

Possible, but I'm not sure if weapon speed would relate to skill damage.

AFAIK, weapons are just given a proportion of their damage to skill damage and each weapon is given different proportions. I vaguely remember someone somehow compiling these proportions.
