I have a noob question. I just started playing this a few weeks ago, and I'm wondering - what is gold used for?

I'm level 30 now, and all the equipment drops I've gotten are better then what I find on vendors. I have like 70,000 gold, because there just hasn't ever been anything worth spending it on.

What is gold used for?

Buying items from vendors, players, or cs:)

ThereS a place called the auction in balefort castle and it's where you can buy way better items than vendors....let me know if you have anymore questions about buying /selling in the auction and btw. After looking in auction 70k won't look like alot anymore for a full set of good gear ;)

Trading gold to other players, yea... but then what do THEY use it for? Or is it to say that eventually vendor gear will be worth buying? Because up until level 30 it is not.

Sets of pink gear from other players will be worth buying, since you are very unlikley to get the drops yourself.

Gold is used to:

1. Buy leveling or other elix. to level your toon quicker
2. Buying better gear than what you'll ever get in drops (some high level sets cost 3mil+)
3. Merchanting (buying/selling stuff)
4. Buying health and mana pots
5. Buying collectible stuff

At level 30 there's gear like 'shivering' or 'brain-freeze' gear, which is really very good. You won't be able to buy a full set with 70k though, last time I checked prices.

I wish i had 70k lol i would by awsome stuff that cost near that
