gems and Recipes

been playing PL for a few weeks now, my main character ( a mage) is now lvl 44 and my archer is lvl 35

I've got pink drops (about 4 so far) and a bunch of Purples but I have NEVER received a recipe or Gem, just wondering whats up with the gems and recipes, are they not dropping

Gems only drop in the Forest Haven (FH) campaign, as for recipes the level 5 and 15 recipes drop in FH also; while the level 55 recipes only drop in the Balefort Sewer (BS) campaign, which you don't have access too yet.
