What would benefit skill damage more?

If im a bow mage (dual spec) what weapon would give me the most skill damage a staff, or a bow?

A staff would, but I'd still go with a bow.

The bow will provide more damage at a faster rate and has good bsse damage. I would recommend trueshot bow of fortune lvl 48 if you require more damage

Base damage doesn't always equal skill damage.

agree. DPS is nothing but hokum. Image you have 130~150 base damage and 0.4 speed, your dps can be almost more than 300. When you meet a mob with 150 armor, you cannot damage it at all.

they should really remove the dps stat... it frankly bears no use, since you want to take into account what you are fighting.

yes i hate having a pretty good dps but end up doing very little damage on some enemies...So sometimes i use a cross bow for the extra damage.
