Do the players on the "top players" section of the leaderboard get a banner or a special prize for being on that list?

I think they get banner.
If you jump to 5 place CTF kills you'll get an green banner with red skull ( same skull have elite boss in normal map ex. Elite Bael in kraken)
I don't know they sill get banners :/ but my friend is old player and he have few xD

At the end of season, players on the leaderboard get banners based on which category they placed under.

Basically, as ravager said, if you are willing and able to use a bot, you get a banner for your "hard work" on the leaderboard ;)
