Do you mean which group members are using a droid?
That's easy. When the group members are running, some will occasionally pause and start running again. That's what happens to me as my droid sometimes pauses for a couple seconds.

Phar's guide, while sweet, might not always work. A town like baleforte has so many instances that it may be near impossible to tell.

Phar's guide, while sweet, might not always work. A town like baleforte has so many instances that it may be near impossible to tell.
its impossible bcz the instance where the droid is, is always full. ppl dont leave until they dont got all buttons, stay there for friends to join wich all try continuously or stay just to watch droid..
so without friends its very hard to get him...

It is possible, just need to wait for people to leave to get their Alts for more buttons. Then you pounce in lol

add samhayne as a friend, and when he is changing, click join as fast as possible

Problem is, Sam has too many ppl on his friends list. I tried so many times to join him but couldn't succeed.
Only reason I'm bothering is bc they said you need all four for something else :/

samhayne is not how you do it.
I collected all four buttons in 15 minutes with this method:
Press Join Game
Check Towne Instances Only
Filter by "Forest Haven"
Order by Level
The only Towne with a level 57 maximum should be the one with the droid.
Spam refresh until you see it open.
Join.
For a bonus:
Equip your droid costume and confuse people who see double droid!
