Can't connect via wifi..help

I cannot connect through my wifi network at home. I have a Linksys WRT54G router and i know how to get in to the admin options to change my settings for security. i can sign in to the game but cant connect to actually play. it tells me to check my connection. All my home computers, Ps3, Xbox, and all other apps work on my network. everything BUT this game. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

At what point does it tell you the connection failed? Is it just after hitting the login button, or after realm select?

i can login with username and password, but when i try to select the realm it boots me out..

If your router's firewall blocks outgoing connections, it may be blocking some ports between 4050 and 4099.

So should i open ports 4050 to 4099 and designate them for my iphone? I amy have these already assigned to xbox or ps3.. Ill try it. thx.

nope that didnt work.. im just gonna reset my router unless somebody has any other new ideas.

Alright well my router firewall is filtering Ident(port113). will this affect anything? i have no idea how to change it..

Hrm, sorry, no clue - the only things we require for the game are outgoing tcp connections from random ports to ports 4050-4099 and 80, though I'm not sure what's necessary for talking to the itunes store for in app purchases (but that shouldn't prevent connections in any case).

Well.. i have updated firmware, reset my router to default, reconfigured everything and reset again. I still cannot connect to the game via wifi.. this is most disappointing.

Hmm. Try resetting the network settings on the iPhone and rejoining your network. Also, is this a small ISP?

Also, when you are at the login screen, does it say "Server Staus: Available" at the top or "Unable to retrieve server status"?

The next screen, does it say "Connection Failed" "Failed to connect to the Pocket Legends game servers. Please check your Internet connection."

So it says "Server Status: Avail." i enter my info and the choose realm screen comes up. i hit Alterra and continue and i get "Failed to connect to the Pocket Legends...so on"
And yes.. my ISP is a small one. I have an acreage and it runs off two way radio and towers.. but again, this is the only time anything like this has happened. My Ps3, xbox, pc, laptop, whatever..they all work perfect..

And doing port forwarding to you iPhone did not work? Try drooping you iPhone's IP into your router's DMZ just to test.

What make, model, revision router do you have?

I tried dropping phones ip into DMZ. That didn't work either. It's a linksys wrt54g. I heard it's not a great router for gaming but I've never had a problem before.. Thanks for the help btw..

Hey. Something had probably happened during the Download.
Here are some steps
1) Delete App
2) Restart Device
3) Install App
4) Enjoy :D

No, sadly reseting iPhone network never worked either. *sigh*

I'm so happy haha! I was able to play for two hours yesterday and still had almost full battery! I don't know why it wasn't working but I don't care now lol. Thank you to all for the help!
