View Full Version : Item drop mechanics in Balefort Sewers

I'd like to see a developer post what the percentage chances are of an uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary item drop in the balefort sewers for the main bosses. Also if those percentages are changed from time to time, an updated post with the most recent percentages would be greatly appreciated. I have searched the forum and have been unable to find such information. If this issue has already been addressed and someone could post a link to this information, thank you in advance for doing so.

There is a reason you have been unable to find it, as in, they keep it a secret other than "it's random" as far as to which party members get what drops.

at least we all have an equal chance of finding it, no matter how rare.

Well there is a exact percent chance for each item, but only the devs or some very dedicated farmers could tell you! Myguess is that sewer king/queen robes and some other pinks are under a 1% chance to drop.

That's unfortunate because the absence of such information creates an inefficient market for items in the consignment shop. Without knowing those probabilities, there is no way to properly value items in the consignment shop.

If it's REALLY rare maybe a 0.5%-1% chance

The value goes by supply and demand. Simple. If people don't pay your price, you have to lower it until they do. Or conversely, if you can't find it at a cheap enough price then it's worth more than you think.

Are there ANY games where the devs would release the percentages for drop rates?

If they give a salvage value for every item (which they do), and we know that we have a 100% chance of at least an uncommon item when defeating a boss in the Sewers, why would the developers be reluctant to tell its players the proportional relationship(s) between item probabilities?

You are overanalyzing, sorry. As far as effect on the CS, like Les said it is supply and demand, just like in any game with a CS/auction/store. I have never seen a dev, in ANY game in many years, ever tell their customers specifically what drop rates and tables were in order for them to better analyze the market. They are not going to spill their secrets so players can then manipulate the market accordingly.

find out yourself, and let us know!
that would be a great addition to add to the community!

True dat....it would be cool if we could figure it out! Then again, it might take about 1000 runs (barf) to get enough data to maybe tell, lol.
