Are there any ways to delay mana shield while in pvp 1v1?
Drain+heal still cant counter most combos.

You can try to freeze + flame(to push enemy more far) then drain -> heal -> shield
More time I doubt you get if you are int Mage. With pally you could tweak some extra time.

Don't even use spells before timing up mana shield. The best way to time up mana shield is by pressing the icon the second you see someone casting one of their attacks/spells. You don't even have to see the second they make an attack, just anticipate when the attack is coming at you. This way, your damage is only affected (since mana shield doesn't go in to affect right away) and you have full mana. Heal yourself, and bam; you have full mana and full health.
