Hasn't seem to drop.
I've gotten more energy essences from WT4 than I know what to do with
(my inventory is near full of energy)

I dont think the droprate is good as they were in Halloween event

Energy essence has a 90% drop rate from winter bosses (and from brood)

Yeah, it's fixed now. But when they made the 12/22/15 update the essence drop rate dropped.
I did the wt4 when they made that update, and I got one essence per run :/ But it's fixed now and it's working great! ^^
