Perhaps when the exp to get to 56 gets lowered, the "elite" lv 56 helmet will be discontinued and its stats raised.

The helmet will be discontinued, the stats will not be changed. There has been a massive discussion about it, feel free to join, but it is kind of late. There is a chance that STS will add set bonuses for the crowns eventually.
