That happens whenever someone leaves a group or town. Eventually they fall through the floor, usually if you rotate the camera around in the CS room you can see a few people under the map, lol.

Funny thing is the mage left like five minutes before i took the pic. and i have seen them fall through the floor lol

They did have name for that place under the ground...
