What I want is a one of the camps to be like for 61. So, they'd have a crown(if that), elite status, different gear to distinguish besides lvl, & something to farm. I doubt this very seriously, though. I figure ones main spine free, & other plat. Like any other camp. Balefort- Wylwood, Lost Expedition- Frozen Nightmares, etc. Just something to do. It'd be to much of a hassle for them to let you pick one to lvl in & other for when you hit 61. I just hope there's more to do at 61, then just farm, chat, rack money, end game pvp, & create the crown, like at 56. Considering we've had BS for nearly 5 months.

Personally, what I loved about the original ao3 was how VL was your reward/accomplishment for hitting 50 and acquiring the necessary skills to blast through all those bosses in VL. In the sewers, you don't really gain much between lvl 50-56. So you can farm a bit faster maybe? But it's not NECESSARY to hit 55-56. The only carrot being dangled was the crown, and I never found that to be a big enough crown for the effort.
I think you're onto something -- if they released two campaigns at once (or even a VL-like version of one) that was nearly impossible without lvl 60/61 gear, it would give people more of an incentive to grind. Something to achieve besides a lvl cap to wait out another lvl cap.

Personally, when AO3 was nerfed, I gradually lost interest. After that, there didn't seem much incentive to keep farming.

Edit: Actually, it just hit me why it's so easy to get bored with this game if you're not super hardcore. I feel really stupid for not putting it all together before, but here it is: The reason AO3 was so successful in the beginning, IMO, is bc you had to unlock each campaign by completing the previous one. And in the end, you had VL as your final reward (and a darn good one at that). This kept people playing. But now they got rid of that and any campaign can be completed fully the first time you step into that dungeon. So as a lvl 50, you can complete all of the Sewers (correct me if something has changed as it's been a long time since I've played). At lvl 55-6, you're still grinding the same exact mobs that you were at lvl 50. If each map got harder and had lvl-appropriate mobs, it would mean that ad you lvl up, you unlock a new map (or at least grind new mobs each lvl). The way it is now, I can't imagine EVER hitting 55 with a char, bc it means hitting the same maps and same mobs over and over and over from 51-55. Would be the same way from 55-60/61 if this doesn't change.

Away from my random burst of energy, I think we are onto something... An area that only level 61's can go, and would be a challange, not Shadow Caves challenge, but tactical challenge... Man I'm getting myself too exited....

Would have to be more rewarding than the caves, bc quite frankly, the shadow caves don't have much payoff for the work involved.

Yeah, opening each dungeon as you clear it would be a blast. Also, for the difficulty of the mobs to increase. As of now, in BS, with or without pots, with a team, you blow through it. It's quite fairly simple. The crown was incentive enough for me, because I knew it'd be discontinued. Though, with the new 55+ camps, I'm thinking. One just for people who took that LONG grind. They'd have a different look, something to far, status, etc. As I said in previous post.

idk Kossi, it always seems to me that it's me who gets there last.

And Les, VL and all the "boss crawls" that came before it were put there reluctantly. Even the new FH boss crawl didn't originally drop pinks because of, again, dev reluctance. They didn't like the easy pinks ever since AO1 when they nerfed that place. They didn't want to make Bayou Boss Crawl, either. So Sewers came out with no boss crawl. And I suspect that will continue to be the pattern going forward.

Back home. @ Les.

I can see why you would get bored. You like challenge & bigger incentive. So, I hope STS has a huge surprise for us, when it comes to these next 2 campaigns & many more to follow. I hope it takes some serious challenge. Like old Swamps, pre nerf (You weren't here then, I think), but it was hard. I might not shoot for 61, if there's not more than a crown to boast around. I'm hoping that these quest take thinking, & tactics. Hard like, pre Shadow Caves*maybe not THAT hard! but challenge) , but tactic like Sandstone Cave bosses, fun to run through like New Forest Haven & drops like BS, or maybe a bit harder. But you are on to something, & you are right about the reward being bigger, more rewarding, & more satsifying.

A place just for 61's would be great, or 60/61 gear just to even survive without an elixir (4x now.. bleh). Either way, a bigger reward for 61 would be awesome. Enough of my rambling.

Lol, bigger incentive for the next elite cap. Maybe if it's not a campaign, maybe just a set to distinguish. Better, than 60, but not too significant, but not TOO small, either. Something more than a crown to want you to get 100k or so xp, whatever it may be.

EDIT: Like a series of quest to get the Crown of Persistence? The same for the set. Something like what it took to get Mystery & Cyber, but more challenging & tactical, but still something time consuming.
