Where does all that XP go?

Ok... So I know this question has been asked many times in game but i would love an answer from the devs :-)

What is going to happen to all the XP that people have gained from 55 to 56 (assuming they haven't hit lvl 56 by new lvl cap)? Let's say I am lvl 55 with 50k XP and only another 33k to go! What's going to happen to all that xp and possibly platinum? Will the lvl 56 speed bump stay in place (I kinda hope it does), will that xp earned be applied toward my lvl 56, or worst of all will that XP be totally taken away and I be forced to earn 8.5k XP to make56?

Very interested to see what everyone else thinks and even more so to have this answered by a dev :-)

I'm not a developer, but I can tell you what will happen at level 56, (from what the devs have officially told us).


If your level 55 with 50k exp, your exp will be divided by 10. You will only have 5k exp after the cap rise.
Level 56 will only require 8.7k exp to reach level 57.
Elite Quests will go away
Level 61 Elite Quests will be added
Players holding the Crown of Persistence will get to keep their helmets, making them rare discontinued items.

Actually, your accrued XP becomes run-off when the level cap is raised. Run-off that filters into the little known XP Wells that dot the countryside. (What? You thought those were oases in AO?) XP wells are the source of all the XP you gain in the game. Without run-off, the wells would dry and no one would be able to level. Ever. Again. See? It's just part of the big XP Circle of Life. :rolleyes:

Actually, my theory has been disproved.

NEW THEORY:

So does this apply to the current lvl cap?
If I'm lvl 65 with x amount of xp points when humania is released, those points are cut in half and continue towards 66.
