[Q] How do Chaos jewels work when upgraded into a piece of equipment?

Hullo,

I was getting a bit confused about how chaos jewels function. I was curious how do these work when upgraded into a piece of equipment. This is the info. I was told about these chaos jewels:

Noble Chaos jewel:
1.68*Pet damage % = Total damage granted
EX: 1.68*15= 25.2 damage.

Wasn't the intended way like Bonus DMG% */+ *chaos jewel damage* = Total damage acquired?

I really don't know how these jewels work, could some clarify my doubt on this jewel?

Any help would be appreciated, but please bear in mind that I'm not sure how these jewels exactly work, someone had told me that they work in the way as stated above, however I cannot clarify this thus I posted my question here.

Para/chaos dmg X your character's Bonus Damage (in decimal form) =

Weak chaos:
0.78 x 4.5 (if your bonus damsge is 450%) = 3.51 actual damage

Well, all of that are based on my trial and error calculations.

Plus another question, Does this apply to all the chaos jewels? In other words, Does the same apply if I were to have more than one chaos jewels?

Most probably yes.

Example if you use 3 Weak chaos,

0.78 × 3 = 2.34

2.34 x 4.5 ( If your bonus damage is 450% ) = 10.53 #
