PL celebrates holidays that are internationally celebrated. Just like memorial day the 4th is an American holiday. I know PL originates in the states but they think of their entire player base when choosing a holiday to celebrate. Halloween is the next one.

The declaration of independence from great briten was complete on this day! Finally the original 13 colonies could be there own separate nation! This is also when many special events occured, like the Boston tea party... Want to find out more? Google what is independence day, and why do we celebrate it?

what about ANZAC day, St George's Day, Burn's Night, Chinese New Year, St David's Day, Commonwealth Day, Bastille Day, etc, etc....

There's lots but because of the international audience of the game, it would be great if all the 'extras' could be relevant to as many as possible? Not sure if everyone wants to celebrate ANZAC day but its HUGE in Australasia (and for Aussies and Kiwis around the world), as are probably lots of other local celebrations.
