But that gear will be harder to get, by a lot. Hardly anyone will be farming it. OL and Gurg are hardly killed now, after the raise. ^f the items dropped from mobs I'd agree, but disorginixed groups of 48-53 probably will skip the bosses. Plus currently we're all clumped up.

Gear prices will drop ALOT 1st -- once the L55s+ start upgrading to the new gear. They will likely go back up some as gear gets snapped up and not as many new ones are farmed, but could take a month after the new areas release for the market to absorbed all the dumped gear. If you have the extra cash, sure, but it up, but I'm guessing more people will not have the extra gold or inventory to hoard that much stuff. There will be LOTS of L55 stuff for a bit. PL has been at L55 for 4+ months. That's a lot of people and a lot of gear.

How much the gear goes back up will also depend on whether L55 becomes a good PvP/twink parking level. Note that L45 gear has never recovered in price, even with most groups doing just the corridors and not bosses. L55 could be like that or it might not be. It's really anyone's guess. Guess wrong and that could be a huge loss.

BTW, shadow gear might seem really pricey right now, but there was a time when it was even pricier. I sold all mine for about the same prices today or higher, so for my list, shadow gear hasn't increased in value either. It's just maintained 90% of its value is all. Ao3 gear is less than 50% where it once was, even with tons less farming going on.

My guess is that prices on L55 will never be what it was before the level increase announcement, but it won't be as low as it will be when everyone dumps it. I'm not sure L55 will be much of a parking level. Seems like L50, maybe L51, will be more popular, but it's hard to tell really. Anyways, my $0.02.
