No, client actually means the application of arcane legends on your device.
New client will most likely release this month.
Expansion will be like a new patch update onto that client. All events are like patch updates. Events are short-term patches while expansion is like a forever patch onto that client.
Expansion is in spring. You need to ask the Americans when spring is. Where I come from we only have hot & cold lol. (Spring starts end of March I think).
This is my understanding of it.

Spring starts march/April, depending how far north/south you live..Sts is in south Texas so ..yeah..marchish
